About Angelique

The ever-eccentric artist/art critic Angelique is, when she happens to be visting the Niedermeyer Building, where she was on business, she looks at a linen sheet with paint splattered with different shades of paint that Marlon was using to repaint Shawn's newsstand was "terrific", a "real peace of art"! Thus, she offers to back Marlon, who accidentally becomes the talk of the town, influencing him to make more "pieces of art" like the paint splattered linen sheet! When Marlon, who begins to get the "big head" over his new found celebrity as an abstract "artist", tries to up the ante of his "paintings" in an art auction sponsored by Angelique by enlisting he and Shawn's friend Darryl (Darrel Heath) to bid, and at the same time a teenager who spray paints Pop's sign for Pop's Joint, the ever-capricious Angelique, who always goes with what's "trendy", shifts attention to the boy, who just also vandalized a subway train, as all bidding shifts to the boy's "artwork", crushing Marlon's shot at fame!
